Product Highlights

The award-winning Gregory Baltoro 75 internal frame backpack boasts a wealth of access points, an array of features and an innovative suspension system that combine to make this 4400+ cubic inch pack a backcountry workhorse.

Determined to avoid the failings of ill-fitting backpacks, Gregory has equipped the Baltoro 75 with the high-performance Response Auto Fit Suspension (AFS) system. Designed to flex with the natural movements of your body, AFS distributes weight evenly, providing superior load stability, comfort and range of motion. A single aluminum stay connects to twin independently rotating hipbelt panels that automatically adjust to the angle of your hips and ensure proper load transfer. Accompanying stabilizer straps allow for micro adjustments for optimal fit. A curved composite top frame "stiffener" further increases stability and aids in weight distribution. The Baltoro 75's shoulder harness connects to the frame of the pack via rotating Auto-Cant attachment points, adjusting automatically to the contours of your neck and shoulders and eliminating the pinching and chafing caused by the imperfect fit of fixed or less adjustable harnesses. The 3D pre-curved harness and hipbelt are bolstered with dual density foams to cushion and prevent chafing. A sternum strap and load-lifter straps further enhance the fit of the Baltoro 75 and ensure the stability of your load.

A lashed divider separates the top and front-entry main compartment of the Baltoro 75 from a lower sleeping bag compartment, allowing for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unhook the divider and convert the Baltoro 75 to a single, large compartment. The extendible lid of the Baltoro 75 includes a weather-resistant zippered pocket for stowing gear and can be detached and used as a day pack. Zippered side pockets and a large front pocket provide additional places to store gear.

Other features include a canted, hideaway water bottle holder, dual mesh hipbelt pockets, gear loops and side, cross over and lower panel compression straps. An integrated sleeve and dual exit ports make the Baltoro 75 hydration system (sold separately) compatible.

The Gregory Baltoro 75 backpack is available in your choice of colors and Small (4455 cubic inch capacity), Medium (4757 cu in) and Large (4760 cu in) size options.

Likes: Great pack, comfortable and well built.

Dislikes: My only problem with this pack is that although it has lots of openings in the pack, there are no storage pockets for gear, it is just open space. Also the bottom is not waterproof like their Whitney packs. This is quite frustrating!

Likes: Can't say enough about this product, well built and well designed, It is heavier, the specs. Don't lie, I like to be comfortable when I'm in the backcountry, this pack allows me to do that, I'm not looking to prove how much I can do without. I got a great price from Backcountry Edge and quick shipping, they are one of my fav. On-line stores!

Dislikes: I'm fine with this product..

    Dislikes: No complaints

Likes: Great backpack with good storage. Many side pocket for quick access to items u may need fast. Good suspension and works good with loads over 40lbs.

Dislikes: In hot weather because of no mesh panel your back is soaked with sweat

Likes: Great pack! Took it on a weekend trip. It performed as advertised. The support and comfort are great. The pack was approximately 30lbs, and carrying that load was comfortable. There's plenty of room for gear, and the outside pockets are great for storing the little things. I also like that my hydration bladder fit in the side. I would recommend this product.

Likes: Bought this to replace my 15 year old Gregory Robson. Huge improvement! There are lighter packs out there, but I really liked the fit of this one. The suspension works really well and the padding is the perfect firmness for my taste. The belt pockets and bottle holder are very convenient. Like the top AND front zipper access to the main compartment, and it expands quite a bit, which is nice for packing a bear canister and your kid's gear. I'm 6'0", 180# w/an 18.5" torso, and a medium fits me perfectly. Good info on fit on the Gregory and BCE websites.

Dislikes: Side and hip belt pockets could be a tad bigger, and a dedicated map pocket on top would be nice. Otherwise I think it's a really great pack and a great value. Thanks BCE!

Likes: I've tried on a lot of backpacks and I've never had one fit as well as my Baltoro. The suspension system is just fantastic. I actually returned my Osprey Zenith pack after trying on this Gregory. It has plenty of space and compacts down nicely when I take lighter loads. I highly recommend it. And with the sale price, I saved $100!!

Dislikes: I can only think of two things that would make the pack better.
    1. The hip belt pockets could stand to be larger so I could fit a small camera or GPS.
    2. It would be nice to have the front outside pocket made of mesh. I loved that feature about the Osprey because I could stow my wet rain gear and it would actually dry out.

Likes: All fabric, zippers, and straps appear to be very high quality. Weight isn't as bad as many make it out to be (I'm far from an ultralight dude; more of a pack mule for my son). Appears to be pretty comfortable although I haven't put it to any demanding tests on the trail yet. Backcountry Edge rocks with fast shipping as always

Dislikes: Hip pockets pretty small. I personally think all of these high dollar, luxury packs should include a rain cover

Likes: This is a great backpack. I know a number of people that have it and love it. It provides plenty of storage for multiple day trips. The feature that sold me was the hip belt. There is extra padding for when you are carrying heavy loads and it seems to allow the pack to move with you.

Dislikes: Pack is a little heavy but that is the trade off for the extra padding and features.

Likes: Solid construction and quality material with plenty of storage features and room. Superb adjustment capabilities for a perfect individual fit. I fully expect to get many, many miles of use from this workhorse on the PCT, the AT, and all points in between. Also, thanks to the BCE Edge member sale price coupled with an Edge member deep discount coupon of 20% along with my earned Edge member points I paid less than $185.00 for this top notch unit and still received super fast free shipping to boot. Finally, my experience with BCE's customer service department has been nothing short of excellent. The staff at BCE really cares about their customers complete satisfaction...guaranteed!

Dislikes: No dislikes as of this writing.

Likes: This is my first backpack that I have bought, I have always borrowed a range of backpacks from my friends, and this is by far the greatest bag I have used. It fit all my criteria: Several zippered pockets to stay organized, large bag to easily fit enough gear for 4 nights, or to be cinched down into an overnight bag, and plenty of straps to attach extra gear to the outside. I highly recommend this pack. Oh ya, and its really comfortable.

Likes: I have a couple of trips under my belt with the Gregory Baltoro 75 and I am so glad I bought this pack. The comfort that the suspension system provides under a heavy (35- 40lb)load is unbelievable. I admit this pack is a little heavier than most, but considering the comfort and integrity this pack offers, it is truly superior. Loading this pack for a three day trip was a snap, lots of space, the side pockets and back panel pocket hold plenty of gear that you might need on the trail, and the top is great for snacks, compass, map, etc. The canted water bottle holder is great, though I run a bladder that works perfect in this pack. I couldn't be happier, best pack I've ever owned.

Dislikes: Nothing, this pack is great.

Likes: The big daddy of all kinds of backpacks out in the market! I am a short average built guy and had never imagined that I could easily carry a load of 50lbs and yet hike a strenuous uphill climb. But, thanks to the designers of Gregory Baltoro, the whole exercise seemed da** easy. The designers have applied a lot of thought in designing every part of the backpack - the zippers, the low angle oriented bottle pouch and to the extent of a slightly rough textured bottom portion of the back (to let your t-shirts and shirts stay intact), wide flexible waist belts, front and top loading, so on and so forth. So glad, I chose a Gregory over an Osprey! Its Gregory for me, hands down!

Dislikes: None in actuality! Initially, I was taken aback by the huge price difference in Gregory Baltoro over a similar spec'ed Osprey but the quality and features of a Baltoro well deserve the higher price and praise from esteemed customers!

Likes: Great backpack! Comfortable, easy to access items. The water holster on the side was a nice touch. Worth the money, for sure.

Dislikes: With the large size you have to be very aware of what you are putting into the backpack, do not get carried away :)

Likes: Great backpack that has not disappointed.

Dislikes: A little disappointed that these backpacks are now made overseas and time will tell whether it lasts as long as previous US made backpacks that I have had

Likes: Perfect pack! Loads of capacity, pockets, loops, and adjustment straps. This is the most comfortable pack I have ever used. Its a little heavier than some other packs, but the supension and extra comfort are worth it. It will easily carry 40 pounds or more and feel like your carrying half that much weight. The mesh water bottle pockets are easily reached and the brain lid detaches and can be used as a day pack. This is my second Baltoro 75, I bought this one for my son for our Philmont trip this summer. I've had mine since last summer and have used it several times and I can honestly say its a great pack. If you can afford it, spend the extra money for the best pack out there!

    Dislikes: Nothing yet.

Likes: Awesome! Lots of space, super comfortable and adjustable. Everything you could ask for in a large pack. This is my 2nd Gregory Pack.

Dislikes: Ordered moss green. Note: doesn't look anything like the picture, a lot darker shades of yellow and green, pretty much green and brown.

Dislikes: If side pockets were bigger, it would have been even better!

Likes: Where to start, space space space. I was originally looking at the Baltoro 65 but decided to go with the 75 instead. Same pack just bigger, upon receiving the Baltoro i was very pleased with the size of it and especially the side water bottle pockets. That was a very big selling point for me. I would highly recomend this to my friends, family or anyone looking for a quality pack.

Dislikes: There is nothing bad i can say about the Gregory Baltoro 75.
