New for 2009! Borrowing the lightweight suspension design of the award-winning Vapor Trail, the Granite Gear Vapor Flash offers additional durability and organizational features while still weighing in at just over 3 pounds. The Vapor Flash comfortably hauls loads of up to 30 pounds.

Offering options for backpackers of various shapes and sizes, the Vapor Flash is available in two torso sizes. The packbag on the Reg torso offers 3200 cubic inches of storage capacity and the Long torso size offers 3500 cubic inches. Lending extreme versatility, a well-designed external compression strap system allows you to securely cinch down gear for accommodating varying loads.

Made of lightweight, durable 210d Cordura fabrics, the Vapor Flash offers rugged durability despite its lightweight design. A padded foam backpanel cushions the load of the Vapor Flash against your back. Dual-density padding on the shoulder straps and hipbelt enhances comfort and ensures proper fit. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to make on-the-go adjustments.

To guarantee that the Vapor Flash fits like a glove, Granite Gear offers swappable hipbelts. The S hipbelt fits waists ranging from 26"-30", the M hipbelt fits waists ranging from 30"-34" and the L hipbelt fits waists ranging from 34"-38".

You can access the Vapor Flash through the top of the packbag. The lid of the Vapor Flash houses a large storage pocket and can be removed entirely for use as a hip pack for day hiking or summit assaults.Two large elastic pockets on either side of the Vapor Flash keep water bottles or other gear close at hand. A built-in tube exit port and a narrow lined internal pocket that accommodates most hydration bladders (not included) make the Vapor Flash hydration compatible. The external compression system with reflective daisy-chain attachment points provides numerous places to lash additional gear to the outside of the Vapor Flash.

The Granite Gear Vapor Flash is available in Regular (18"-21") and Long (21"-25") torso lengths.
