Product Highlights
Built for extended trips, the Granite Gear Stratus Latitude combines lightweight construction with heavy-hauling capabilities. An innovative design allows full pack access and integrated compression systems make the Stratus Latitude a versatile backcountry performer.
The Stratus Latitude is available in two different torso sizes. The packbag on the Regular torso offers 4800 cubic inches of storage capacity and the Short torso offers 4400 cubic inches. Coupled with the innovative Granite Gear suspension system, this is sufficient to carry up to 50 pounds of gear! Lending extreme versatility, internal and external compression strap systems allow you to securely cinch down gear.
Made of a continuously reinforced composite material, the Stratus Latitude's Tepex framesheet is ready-made for heavy hauling. The contoured framesheet balances rigid support with flexible response, allowing the Stratus Latitude to move with you while keeping your load balanced and secure. The height of the framesheet can be adjusted to account for varying torso lengths. The lumbar portion of the framesheet functions like a shock-absorbing spring and enhances comfort and performance. A fully padded backpanel provides a layer of cushioning and comfort. Adjustable padded shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap and load-lifter straps combine to optimize fit. A pivoting, cushioned hipbelt is bolstered by high-density plastic support sheets that help to further balance the weight of the pack without limiting mobility.
To guarantee that the Stratus Latitude fits like a glove, Granite Gear offers swappable gender-specific hipbelts and shoulder harnesses. The S hipbelt fits waists ranging from 26”-30”, the M hipbelt fits waists ranging from 30”-34”, the L hipbelt fits waists ranging from 34”-38” and the XL hipbelt fits waists ranging from 38”-42”. The appropriate shoulder harness size is based on the girth measurement of your chest. The S harness fits chest sizes ranging from 27”-34”, the M harness fits chest sizes ranging from 34”-40”, the L harness fits chest sizes ranging from 40”-46” and the XL harness fits chest sizes ranging from 46”-52”.
A one-of-a-kind front panel design provides access to the interior of the Stratus Latitude from the top or bottom of the pack. This broad, elastic panel can be fully unzipped to allow complete access through the front of the Stratus Latitude. The packbag consists of one large compartment that utilizes an internal compression system to keep contents in place. A floating internal lid provides a separate storage location for essentials and is accessed through a drawstring closure. The lid can be unclipped, removed from the pack and taken into your tent at the end of a long day on the trail.
Two large elastic pockets on either side of the Stratus Latitude keep water bottles close at hand. A built-in tube exit port and a narrow lined internal pocket that accommodates most hydration bladders (not included) make the Stratus Latitude hydration compatible. The bladder pocket includes a convenient bungee cord compression system so reservoirs remain securely in place. The external compression system provides numerous places to lash additional gear to the outside of the Stratus Latitude.
The Granite Gear Stratus Latitude is available in Regular (18"-22") and Short (14"-18") torso lengths and your choice of Red or Brown color options.
