The Granite Gear Meridian Vapor borrows the award-winning design of the Vapor Trail, but makes the compromise of a few extra ounces of weight for integrated organizational options and additional access points. The Meridian Vapor comfortably hauls loads of up to 30 pounds and includes an array of features, including a detachable lid that doubles as a hip pack.

Offering options for backpackers of various shapes and sizes, the Meridian Vapor is available in two torso sizes. The packbag on the Regular torso offers 3200 cubic inches of storage capacity and the Long torso size offers 3500 cubic inches. Lending extreme versatility, a well-designed external compression strap system allows you to securely cinch down gear.

Made of lightweight, durable 210d Cordura and 70d Cordura/Rip-Stop fabrics, the Meridian Vapor offers rugged durability while weighing less than 3 pounds. A padded foam backpanel cushions the load of the Meridian Vapor against your back. Dual-density padding on the shoulder straps and hipbelt enhances comfort and ensures proper fit. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to make on-the-go adjustments.

To guarantee that the Meridian Vapor fits like a glove, Granite Gear offers swappable gender-specific hipbelts. The S hipbelt fits waists ranging from 26”-30”, the M hipbelt fits waists ranging from 30”-34” and the L hipbelt fits waists ranging from 34”-38”.

You can access the Meridian Vapor through the top of the packbag or via a weather-resistant zipper that runs almost the full-length of the front of the pack. These dual access points let you quickly put hands on whatever gear you need. The lid of the Meridian Vapor houses a large storage pocket and can be removed entirely for use as a hip pack for day hiking or summit assaults. Beneath the lid, an extendible spindrift collar protects the interior of the Meridian Vapor's large main compartment. When you prefer to shed ounces, the collar can serve as a non-traditional lid, rolling down and relying on a drawstring closure and an overlapping buckle strap.

Two large elastic pockets on either side of the Meridian Vapor keep water bottles or other gear close at hand. A built-in tube exit port and a narrow lined internal pocket that accommodates most hydration bladders (not included) make the Meridian Vapor hydration compatible. The bladder pocket includes a convenient bungee cord compression system so reservoirs remain securely in place. The external compression system and reflective daisy-chain attachment points provide numerous places to lash additional gear to the outside of the Meridian Vapor.

The Granite Gear Meridian Vapor is available in Regular (18"-21") and Long (21"-25") torso lengths.
