Updated for 2009! Reflecting GoLite's commitment to providing lightweight functionality, the GoLite Odyssey Women’s pack is built for extended backpacking and mountaineering trips. Designed for experienced female backpackers who have trimmed the weight of their gear and need a pack to match, the Odyssey Women’s pack offers support and compression for loads of up to 50 lbs.

Accounting for the anatomical differences between men and women, GoLite offers a line of backpacks with women's specifications designed to fit the shape and movement of the female body. Shorter torso lengths, narrower shoulder straps and upper area of the hip portion of the pack provide fit not found on standard men's backpacks. The hipbelt is anatomically angled and the lower hip portion of the packs are wider to offer optimal fit and improved comfort. Shorter shoulder strap padding and a shorter sternum strap round out the women's specific features.

The Odyssey Women’s pack is available in two different torso sizes with packbags offering 4750 and 5000 cubic inch capacities, respectively. Adding versatility, GoLite's patented comPACKtor compression system enables the Odyssey Women’s pack to efficiently cinch down to accommodate loads as small as 1350 cubic inches. Integrated compression anchor clips snap easily into place, reducing the profile and depth of the pack for shorter trips and lighter loads. Side compression straps further enhance the compressibility of the packbag and can be restrung across the front of the Odyssey Women’s pack to strap down snowshoes or larger gear.

Twin lightweight, removable aluminum stays work in tandem with a removable, moldable framesheet to provide the Odyssey Women’s pack with a functional balance of rigid support and flexibility. Breathable padding on the backpanel and shoulder straps lend comfort and combat heat build-up while carrying heavy loads. Beefier foam padding in the lumbar portion of the pack and the angled hipbelt further enhance carrying comfort and ensure proper fit.

A detachable divider between a top loading main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can remove the divider and convert the Odyssey Women’s pack to a single, large compartment. A large front zippered pocket offers an organizational option and additional storage. A zippered pocket on the lid of the Odyssey Women’s extendible lid provides an additional storage option. If you prefer to trim weight even further, the lid can be removed completely. An extendible spindrift collar protects the interior of the bag and can be cinched down with the use of a buckled overlapping compression strap. Sizeable zippered pockets on the hipbelt provide an arms-reach stow for valuables, food and small gear items.

Other special features of the Odyssey Women’s pack include trekking pole loops and two large elastic mesh water bottle pockets. Built-in tube exit ports and a narrow lined internal pocket that accommodates most hydration bladders (not included) make the Odyssey Women’s pack hydration compatible. Providing valuable assistance in emergency situations, the buckle on the sternum strap doubles as a whistle.

Constructed of durable 100% PU-coated Nylon Velocity with a DWR finish, the GoLite Odyssey Women’s pack is available in Small (torso lengths ranging from 15.5"-17.5") and Med (17.5"-19.5") lengths and your choice of Coriander or Sapphire color options.
