With its 3-pole design and lightweight materials, the Exped Mira I is an excellent 3-season backpacking tent. A spacious interior and functional exterior storage space combine to make the Mira I an extremely livable backcountry shelter.
Measuring 86.6" x 27.5", the Mira I provides ample room for the solo backpacker. An innovative "endoskeleton" pole structure increases the verticality of the sidewalls to maximize elbow room. This design also makes it easy for one person to set up the Mira I tent. A front vestibule provides 7.5 square feet of external storage space and a streamlined rear “gear shed" can be reached via a pass-through zipper on the body of the tent.
Lightweight DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles and continuous sleeve construction grants the Mira I sturdy freestanding stability. Guy lines and stakes are included for a sturdy pitch. Ripstop polyester fabrics strengthen the main body of the Mira I and extensive mesh provides excellent ventilation and limits condensation in humid conditions. A fully seam-taped ripstop nylon rainfly with a weatherproof silicone-PU coating ensures protection from the elements.
An optional custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Exped Mira I tent from sharp objects, mud and ground water.
