Effectively balancing weight, performance and livability, the Exped Gemini III tent is a great option for 3-season backpacking. A unique pole structure and durable construction equip the Gemini III with reliable freestanding stability.
Measuring 86.6" x 63", the Gemini III provides room for three or voluminous space for two. An innovative "endoskeleton" pole structure increases the verticality of the sidewalls to maximize elbow room. This design also makes it easy to set up the Gemini II tent. Dual vestibules provide a combined 21.5 square feet of external storage space and the two zippered doors make it easier for backpackers to get in and out of the tent without having to climb over each other.
Lightweight DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles and continuous sleeve construction grant the Gemini II sturdy freestanding stability. Guy lines and stakes are included for a sturdy pitch. Ripstop polyester fabrics strengthen the main body of the Gemini II and extensive mesh provides excellent ventilation and limits condensation in humid conditions. A fully seam-taped ripstop nylon rainfly with a weatherproof silicone-PU coating ensures protection from the elements.
An optional custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Gemini III tent from sharp objects, mud and ground water.
