Likes: Don't misunderstand. The EXPED tents are tough and light. I have no worries about throwing mine down on just about anything that isn't gravel. But if you're not going far, or you expect some extra heavy traffic a la heavy boots or children, throwing this under your Gemini will keep you from flinching every time one of them stomps on the floor. Only done the barebones fly-and-footprint setup once, but it was ideal for some portable shade during a day-trip to the lake.
Dislikes: A bit heavy... but that's the point, right? In the end you'd rather have the protective weight separated out for the times only when you need it. Also... a bit expensive.
An amazing combination of warmth and packability, the Exped DownMat UL 7 inflatable pad allows even ounce-counting backpackers to enjoy comfort in all 4-seasons. High-performance insulation provides the pad with a warm R-value of 5.9.
If you are an ounce-counting backpacker who hasn't been able to justify carrying a pillow in your pack, the ergonomic Exped Air Pillow UL may change your mind. The Medium size weighs a mere 1.8 ounces and the Large just 2.8 ounces!
Effectively balancing weight, performance and livability, the Exped Gemini III tent is a great option for 3-season backpacking. A unique pole structure and durable construction equip the Gemini III with reliable freestanding stability.
Made of water-resistant nylon, the Exped Gemini II Footprint protects the floor of your Gemini II tent (sold separately) from mud, ground water and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles.
Zoomify would go here, or a larger image... This is a temporary placeholder... The settup of this may change depending on whether we are in fact using Zoomify.
Rotate SWF would go here... Greg will reconfigure this after we have an actual example. This is just a place holder.
