Product Highlights

Lightweight and compact, the Exped AirMat Basic UL 7.5 Inflatable sleeping pad is designed for ounce-counting backpackers. Designed primarily for summer or warm-weather use, the rectangular AirMat Basic UL 7.5 sleeping pad packs down incredibly small to take up very little space in your backpack.

The AirMat Basic UL 7.5's ultralight construction offers welded-through baffles for excellent weight reduction and affordability. Glues used in sleeping pad construction are often broken down by moisture but Exped's proprietary, fabric lamination process creates air tight baffles and prevents moisture build up in the pad from destroying these glues, resulting in no loss of air over time. Another stand out feature of the AirMat basic UL 7.5 is flat valve construction. Separate valves for inflation and deflation offer a high volume of air flow in and out of the pad making inflating and deflating the pad fast and easy. Many inflatable sleeping pads fail due to their valve construction but Exped's Flat valve technology eliminates the stiff edge commonly found around traditional valves. This results in lasting, durable valve construction for the life of the pad.

Each AirMat Basic UL 7.5 can be inflated by mouth or with Exped pump accessories such as the Exped Pillow Pump, Exped Schnozzel or the Exped Shrink Bag (all sold separately). Why fuss with blowing up the pad manually when you can let the pump do the work for you? Adding additional value, each AirMat UL 7.5 includes its own stuff sack and field repair kit.

The Exped AirMat UL 7.5 is available in Small (64" x 20") and Medium (72" x 20") lengths.

Likes: Nice Pad! Comfortable and ultralight. I have Big Agnes and Thermarest pads, and feel that this is more comfortable than all of them, especially when temps stay above 50 degrees. I inflate with a Shrink Bag and Schnozzel, and it is a wonderful system.

Dislikes: Material is very thin, and product durability is unknown. Unfortunately the Exped UL series only has a 1-yr warranty instead of the Lifetime Warranty on their other pads.

Likes: Just the right size and extremely lightweight. Very comfortable and affordable.

Dislikes: A little hard to deflate.
