The Eagles Nest Outfitters Ember Underquilt provides a warm layer of synthetic insulation to the bottom and sides of your hammock. The Ember Underquilt fastens to the outside of your hammock where your body weight cannot compress the insulation layer. This allows the insulation to better trap your body heat and keep you warmer on chilly nights. A Sil Nylon Ripstop shell sheds condensation easily.
The Ember Underquilt attaches to the end points of your hammock with a corded hitch that is easy to use. A universal fit ensures that the Ember Underquilt is compatible with all Eagles Nest Outfitters hammocks.
Weighing 2 lbs 3 oz, the Eagles Nest Outfitters Ember Underquilt is a lightweight solution for chilly summer nights or can be used on colder nights in conjunction with a sleeping bag in your hammock. A Sil Nylon compression stuff sack is included.

Likes: The underquilt stitching and material is very high quality. I camped seven night in March 2011 along with friend who was using a Hennessey underquilt? setup. The ENO performed far superior to the flimsy pad used by Hennessey. The weather ranged from lows in the 50s to mid 20s. I did add a warm weather sleeping bag to the hammock on the coldest nights. The underquilt did a very good job of blocking wind from penetrating the hammock. The cacoon bungee straps along the edge of the underquilt are the kicker. I highly recommend this product.
Dislikes: The only drawback to the product is lack of instructions for attaching to the hammock system. I couldn't find any instructions on the website. The first night the underquilt sagged a bit at the feet and head, but some adjustments on the following nights seemed to work great for me. The key is to make the underquilt fit tight against the hammock and make use of the bungee coords to keep the underquilt snug against the hammock without putting strain on the webbing of the underquilt.
