New for 2010! Weighing just 2 lb 9 oz, the Deuter Spectro AC 38 pack is a high-performance option for ounce-counting day hikers. Unlike many ultra-lightweight packs, the Spectro AC 38 doesn’t sacrifice on fit or durability.

The innovative Aircomfort FlexLite System uses a flexible, lightweight steel frame to mirror the movement of your body while effectively transferring weight to the padded, contoured hipbelt. By enabling the Spectro AC 38 to stand away from your back, the Aircomfort FlexLite System promotes airflow and helps to keep you cool during active pursuits. A mesh backpanel and AirMesh fabrics on the shoulder straps and hipbelt further enhance ventilation. Shoulder stabilizer straps and an adjustable sternum strap allow you to fine-tune fit. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, securing contents and ensuring load stabilization.

The 2300 cubic inch capacity packbag can be accessed through the lidded top of the Spectro AC 38 or through a large, U-shaped front zipper. This dual access allows you to quickly put hands on gear and or clothes without having to dump out the entire contents of your pack. A zippered pocket in the Spectro AC 38’s lid and a stretch woven stuff-it pocket on the front of the pack provide additional storage options.

Additional features found on the Spectro AC 38 include an ice axe loop, trekking pole loops, an internal SOS instruction label and twin mesh side pockets. A line internal pocket and integrated tube exit ports make the Spectro AC 38 hydration compatible.
