A product of Deuter's German engineering and extensive field-testing, the sturdy Quantum 55+10 and its nearly 4000 cubic inch capacity can stand up to the rigorous demands of modern travel and life on the trail.

Borrowing from the same innovative design found on many of their traditional backpacks and child carriers, Deuter has incorporated the Vari-Quick harness system into the Quantum 55+10's suspension system. This system enhances fit by adjusting quickly and easily to accommodate varying torso lengths. A strong woven strap "ladder" in the back of the Quantum 55+10 allows you to select the desired position for optimal comfort and load distribution. Soft, breathable fabrics and extensive ventilated padding in the backpanel, the lumbar portion of the pack, the shoulder straps and the waistbelt further help to cushion your load. Load lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap add an extra element of fit, support and stability. Side compression straps help to increase stability and ensure that the contents of the Quantum 55+10 are held firmly in place.

With a standard capacity of 3350 cubic inches, increasing to 3950 cubic inches with the use of an extendible spindrift collar, the Quantum 55+10 provides plenty of space to pack in everything you need for your next travel adventure. The large main compartment of the Quantum 55+10 offers both top-loading access and wide-mouthed front access through a large zippered panel. A zippered divider between this main compartment and a lower, front entry compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When packing longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the Quantum 55+10 to a single, large compartment. A sizeable front pocket provides further storage and can be removed entirely for use as a daypack or airline carry-on pack. Integrated shoulder straps make this zip-off pack comfortable and efficient to carry. The lid of the Quantum 55+10 houses a pocket that can be accessed via an internal or an external zipper. A small zippered pocket on the waistbelt provides an additional place to stow valuables.

Other special features of the Quantum 55+10 include twin top lid attachment rings, a front daisy chain for lashing gear, and an integrated transport cover that fully encloses the Quantum 55+10 for travel by air or rail and doubles as a rain cover for protecting your pack against the elements. Two elastic side pockets allow for transportation of water bottles and a lined internal pocket makes the Quantum 55+10 hydration compatible.

Made of an extremely durable polyester fabric with a weather-resistant PU coating, the Quantum 55+10 has a Granite/Sapphire color scheme.
