Product Highlights

Drawing on true alpine experience, the Deuter Freerider Pro 30 pack offers varied carry options and organizational solutions for winter sports. With 1850 cubic inches of storage space and stand-out features, the Freerider Pro 30 pack is ready for backcountry adventure.

The Freerider Pro 30 utilizes Deuter's Alpine Back System. Comprised of two vertical padded foam strips and a Delrin support rod, the Alpine Back System offers stability and comfort while providing a "chimney" at the spinal column for ventilation. The suspension comfortably accommodates torso sizes ranging from 17.5"-22" in length. A pivoting Vari-Flex hipbelt mirrors your movements, keeping the pack out of your way while you concentrate on skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing. Anatomically contoured shoulder straps enhance flexibility, comfort and precision fit. Ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and hipbelt help to keep you cool and comfortable on your adventures. Load-lifter straps and a sternum strap work in tandem with the shoulder and lumbar padding to effectively distribute weight throughout the pack, further ensuring stability and comfort.

External attachment points abound on the Freerider Pro 30 pack. Horizontal front straps safely secure a snowboard or snowshoes. Additional attachment points give you the option of carrying skis vertically, diagonally or as an A-frame. Rugged Hypalon material positioned across the face of the pack protects the Freerider Pro 30 from the wear and tear of crampons, skins, bindings or other winter gear.

A top-accessed packbag provides the Freerider Pro 30 with 1850 cubic inches of storage capacity. The access point is strategically positioned to allow entry to the packbag without the need to unlash gear. Stretch side pockets, a fleece-lined goggle pocket and an integrated hipbelt pocket provide further storage options.

Other features found on the Freerider Pro 30 include a shovel head pocket, an internal probe/handle sleeve, a removable helmet holder and a removable snow-sit pad. An internal pocket and built-in tube exit point make the Freerider Pro 30 hydration compatible (hydration system not included).

Available in your choice of colors, the Deuter Freerider Pro 30 weighs 3 lb 15 oz.

Likes: This pack is very well built and uses high quality, durable materials. I love the design and all of the features it has makes it useful for a wide variety of applications. It's also one of the most comfortable packs I've ever used. The way it's built, I can see it lasting through many years of hard use.

Dislikes: The only thing that I didn't like is I wish it would have come with a hydration bladder but it's actually not so bad because I was able to buy a really high quality one to go with it rather than just be stuck with whatever they decided to put in there.
