New for 2013! An excellent choice for guides, trail maintenance workers or anyone carrying heavy loads into the backcountry, the no-nonsense Deuter Expedition 90+10 internal frame backpack has a massive interior (up to 6102 cubic inches) and a trustworthy, load-bearing suspension system. Highly durable, abrasion-resistant fabrics are designed to withstand the wear and tear of rigorous use.
An anatomically shaped X-frame works in tandem with supportive multi-layered foam to grant the Expedition 90+10 superior load-hauling capability, stability and padded comfort. The lightweight but rigid X-frame effectively distributes your load by driving weight to the hips. Further enhancing fit, Deuter's VariQuick harness system adjusts easily to accommodate torsos ranging from 16"-22" in length. Adjustability in the padded shoulder straps and pivoting Variflex hipbelt also aids in both comfort and fit. In addition, a concave molding at the top of the backpanel works in conjunction with the height-adjustable lid to provide a contoured space for head movement, combating the stiff, sore neck often associated with a long day on the trail.
The Expedition 90+10’s enormous packbag has a single top-loading access point. A sizable top lid has height adjustability to accommodate the expansion of the packbag from 5492 to 6102 cubic inches via an integrated storm collar. The lid can be removed entirely when not needed and doubles as a fully-functional, ultra-lightweight summit pack. Dual zippered lid pockets, elastic side pockets and two zippered hipbelt pockets provide additional places to stash gear.
Other features found on the Expedition 90+10 backpack include ice axe loops, top lid attachment rings and gear lash points. A lined hydration sleeve inside the packbag and built-in tube exit points make the pack hydration system compatible (hydration system not included).
