Selected by the editors of Backpacker Magazine as the best wet weather daypack for 2007, the Deuter DryShield 30 has made an impressive debut. Seam-welded technology and waterproof fabric combine with Deuter's patented Alpine Back System to provide weatherproof confidence and comfortable support.

The DryShield 30 utilizes Deuter's Alpine Back System, comprised of two vertical foam strips and a single aluminum stay that provide stability and comfort while providing a "chimney" at the spinal column for ventilation. Anatomically contoured shoulder straps complement the foam strips, providing flexibility, comfort and precision fit. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and waistbelt help to keep you cool and comfortable on your adventures. Load-lifter straps combined with the shoulder and lumbar padding to effectively distribute weight throughout the pack, further ensuring stability and comfort.

The single main compartment of the DryShield 30 provides 1850 cubic inches of weather-protected storage capacity. A welded, waterproof zipper provides access to a pocket on the lid of the DryShield 30. Other special features include trekking pole attachments, ice axe loops, two side mesh water bottle pockets and a side compression system that helps to secure the contents of the pack and serves double-duty in lashing gear externally. A lined internal pocket and built-in tube exit point make the DryShield 30 hydration compatible.

Made of lightweight, durable 500 denier Duratex 500 nylon with a waterproof Carbonite PU coating, the DryShield 30 has a Black/Granite color scheme.
