Updated for 2008! Employing German-engineering, the Deuter Kid Aircomfort is lighter than most child carriers on the market and offers a high-performance ventilated suspension system. The Kid Aircomfort combines sturdy, lightweight design and safety features to ensure an enjoyable adventure for you and your child. The Kid Aircomfort is suitable for children who can sit up by themselves.
With a sensible child seat, adjustable in height to accommodate a growing child, and a 500 cubic inch zippered storage pouch located underneath the seat, the Kid Aircomfort has a carrying capacity of up to 48.5 lbs., including child, pack and gear. A 5-point safety harness offers maximum safety and practicability, allowing for easy handling and adjustment.
Deuter introduced its Aircomfort back and suspension system in 1985 for use in its backpacks and has been fine-tuning and improving upon it ever since. The Kid Aircomfort utilizes this same system, consisting of a taught mesh back panel that creates a space between the pack body and your back, allowing moist air to freely escape and preventing heat build up. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the shoulder straps and hipbelt further help to keep you cool and comfortable on your adventures. Further enhancing fit, Deuter's Vari-Quick harness system adjusts easily to accommodate varying torso lengths. A strongly woven strap "ladder" in the back of the pack allows you to select the desired position for optimal comfort and load distribution. This is especially convenient, if the Kid Aircomfort will be used by more than one wearer. Load-lifter straps, and shoulder and lumbar padding further aid in the effective distribution of weight throughout the pack.
The Kid Aircomfort includes a padded headrest, two gear loops and a built-in foldout stand. Deuter's Sun Roof/Rain Cover, sold separately, can be attached to the Kid Aircomfort to protect your child from the elements.
