Product Highlights
New for 2009! The Deuter ACT Trail 28 SL Women’s high-performance day pack combines load-bearing capability, convenient access features and a streamlined profile. Numerous external pockets and lash points grant versatility to the ACT Trail 28 SL Women’s pack.
As women's backs are not, on average, as long or broad as men's backs, the SL carry system is slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. The waistbelt has been given a more conical shape to provide a proper anatomical fit. The shoulder straps of the SL packs have been set closer together, are narrower and shorter in length. The SL pack is equipped with smaller buckles and narrower tapered strap ends to prevent chafing under the arms and eliminate pressure points in the chest area.
Built on the concept that it's easier to carry heavy loads when the backpack and wearer form a single entity, the ACT Trail 28 Women’s Aircontact System relies on the compression and expansion of twin hydro and thermo-phobic foam columns to provide ventilation and load-carrying comfort. The channel between the two pads allows air to flow between your back and the pack itself. A flexible, tensioned Delrin frame offers lightweight support and stability. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the shoulder straps and waistbelt help to keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. A sternum strap and adjustable load-lifter straps further enhance fit. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, further securing contents and ensuring stabilization of the load.
A buckled lid allows top access and protects the contents of the packbag of the ACT Trail 28 Women’s pack. Further ensuring your ability to quickly reach the contents of your pack, a large zippered entry offers full front access to the packbag. A large elastic front stash pocket is ideal for stashing extra layers and is expandable enough to even accommodate a helmet. A bungee system on the exterior of the pocket provides an additional place to lash gear. A side mesh pocket on one side of the pack and a zippered pocket on the alternate side offer additional storage space.
Other special features of the ACT Trail 28 Women’s pack include trekking pole loops, an internal valuable pocket and an integrated SOS panel. A lined internal pocket and a built-in tube exit point make the ACT Trail 28 Women’s pack hydration compatible.
The Deuter ACT Trail 28 Women’s backpack has a Sky Grey/Storm color scheme.
