Updated for 2010! An excellent balance of weight and performance, the Deuter ACT Lite 50+10 provides backpackers with 3650 cubic inches of storage capacity and carrying comfort at a weight of just 3 lb 8 oz. The versatile ACT Lite 50+10 can tackle anything from overnighters to multi-day backpacking trips.

Built on the concept that it's easier to carry heavy loads when the backpack and wearer form a single entity, Deuter's Aircontact Lite System relies on the compression and expansion of hydro and thermo-phobic Aircontact foam to provide ventilation and load-carrying comfort. A continuous air channel along the spine of the ACT Lite 50+10 pack allows warm air to escape and permits cool air to funnel between your back and the body of the pack. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and hipbelt further help to keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. An anatomically-profiled X-frame system in the ACT Lite 50+10 pack offers a balance of rigidity and flexibility, effectively distributing weight. Further enhancing fit, Deuter's Vari-Quick harness system adjusts easily to provide optimal comfort and load distribution for torso length sizes ranging from 15”-21” in length. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, securing contents and ensuring load stabilization.

The ACT Lite 50+10 has a standard capacity of 3050 cubic inches. An integrated, extendible spindrift collar expands that capacity to a full 3650 cubic inches. A zippered divider between the top-loading main compartment and a front-entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the packbag to a single, large compartment. The ACT Lite 50+10’s extendible lid houses dual pockets with secure, zippered entries.

Other special features of the ACT Lite 50+10 include ice axe/trekking pole loops, gear attachment rings on the lid, mesh side pocket and a large, elastic front stash pocket. A lined internal pocket, built-in tube exit point, and tube clip on the shoulder strap make the ACT Lite 50+10 hydration compatible.
