The German-engineered Deuter ACT Lite 40+10, combines strong, lightweight materials with Deuter's Aircontact and Vari-Quick systems to provide storage capacity, comfort and stability in the backcountry. The slender shape of the pack and the compact waist belt allow for freedom of movement on or off the trail.

Designed for lightweight overnight or weekend backpacking trips and performance dayhiking, the 3 lb. 11 oz. ACT Lite 40+10 has a standard capacity of 2450 cubic inches, increasing to 3050 cubic inches with the use of the extendible spindrift collar.

Built on the concept that it's easier to carry heavy loads when the backpack and wearer form a single entity, Deuter's Aircontact Lite System relies on the compression and expansion of hydro and thermo-phobic Aircontact foam to provide ventilation and load-carrying comfort. A continuous air channel along the spine of the ACT Lite 40+10 allows warm air to escape away from the body and permits cool air to funnel between your back and the body of the pack. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and waistbelt further help to keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. A new anatomically-profiled X-frame system in the ACT Lite 40+10 offers a balance of rigidity and flexibility, distributing weight more precisely. Further enhancing fit, Deuter's Vari-Quick harness system adjusts easily to accommodate varying torso lengths. A strongly-woven strap "ladder" in the back of the pack allows you to select the desired position for optimal comfort and load distribution. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, further securing contents and ensuring stabilization of the load.

A zippered divider between the ACT Lite 40+10's top loading main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the ACT Lite 40+10 to a single, large compartment. Internal and external zippered pockets and an internal valuables pocket on the ACT Lite 40+10's extendible lid provide further storage options. A small zippered pocket on the waistbelt provides an additional place to stow valuables.

Other special features of the ACT Lite 40+10 include twin ice axe loops, top lid attachment rings and a front elastic cord attachment for lashing gear. Two elastic mesh side pockets allow for transportation of water bottles and a lined internal pocket, built-in tube exit point, and tube clip on the shoulder strap make the ACT Lite 40+10 hydration compatible.

Made of a very lightweight 150D ripstop nylon, the ACT Lite 40+10 has a Black/Granite color scheme.
