With a streamlined frame and a weight of only 2 lbs. 12 oz. per pair, Crescent Moon Gold 12 snowshoes are built for fast and efficient performance on snow and ice. Designed for winter running, training and racing, Gold 12 snowshoes are "race-approved" for runners of all shapes and sizes.

Gold 12 snowshoes feature Crescent Moon's Single-Pull-Loop (SPL) binding system. This integrated footplate, stirrup and toe piece harness system utilizes a spring-loaded cam-locking heel buckle. Adjustment of the binding straps is performed with a simple pull on the single adjustment loop.

To ensure optimal flotation, Gold 12 snowshoes are balanced to distribute your body weight across the entire shoe. This design also makes them easier to pull out of the snow, so you don't have to work as hard to run, hike or climb. The modified teardrop shaped platform is based on the shape of your foot, wide at the ball and narrow at the heel. Instead of forcing you to waddle, the ergonomic design helps your feet clear away from each other with every step, ensuring a smooth, natural stride and allowing you to concentrate on your adventure.

The frames of the Gold 12 snowshoes are made from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum tubing, which is shaped by hand and welded for incredible strength, durability and reliability. A durable powder-coat finish offers excellent protection from the elements, reduces ice build-up and enhances the aesthetics of the shoes. The decking is made from an ultra durable, lightweight material called TGS. It is extremely resistant to abrasion and textured for additional traction and performance. A transparent front decking helps eliminate the "blind-spot" under the front of your shoe.

Gold 12 snowshoes employ Crescent Moon's three-claw crampon traction system, providing optimal grip. Inherently better than standard two-crampon systems, the three-claw system features a genuine toe claw. As you run, you use your whole foot, shifting your weight for balance and traction with each step. The stainless steel teeth and claws dig in not only at the heel and ball of your foot, but also at the toe, giving you complete control.
