Product Highlights

Adding an additional 9.5 degrees (Fahrenheit) of warmth and increasing the longevity of your sleeping bag, the Cocoon MummyLiner Silk is a tapered bag liner. On balmy nights, the fast-drying, lightweight MummyLiner Silk may be all the coverage you need.

Each MummyLiner Silk includes its own integrated drawstring hood, a boxed foot-end and durable double-stitching. The MummyLiner Silk helps to keep your sleeping bag clean and, at the end of a trip, you can launder just the MummyLiner and extend the life of your sleeping bag by not subjecting it to frequent washings.

Measuring 95" x 35" (22" at the tapered foot), the Cocoon MummyLiner Silk weighs just 4.7 ounces and fits conveniently inside its own included stuff sack.

Likes: This definitely keeps me warm on cool nights. Adds a little extra warmth while not clinging to the skin like some synthetic liners of mine have in the past.

    Dislikes: No complaints!

Likes: Like having silk sheets to sleep in. Saves on washing the bag itself - just wash the liner. Have not used it much but seems like quality and will last.

Dislikes: have not used it enough to say whether there is anything I did not like

Likes: This lightweight liner went a long way in keeping my bag clean on and extended hiking trip. I got pretty funky after 6 days, but all it took was throwing the liner in the wash to freshen things up again. It also seemed to add 5-7 degrees of warmth on several of the colder nights.

Dislikes: The only negative would be the drawstring on the top. It kept getting caught in the zipper of my sleeping bag so I cut it off. Other than that I'm very satisfied with this liner.

    Dislikes: nothing so far

Likes: Light, fits my Marmot Helium great plus adds an easy 5 degrees warmth. Easy in and out, not clingy. Keeps the interior of my bag a little cleaner. May try this as a standalone when the weather gets hot.

    Dislikes: Nothing

Likes: Definitely added some warmth to my bag despite the very light weight of the silk liner. Also helps keep the inside of my bag cleaner.

Dislikes: I have a wide mummy style bag. It would be nice if Cocoon offered a slightly larger model to accommodate these bags. Otherwise, the liner is great.

Likes: Wash a liner and not yor bag. This is my second run at owning one of these. Maybe I'll take care of it this time. Great quality and very functional.

Likes: The Cocoon MummyLiner Silk is very comfortable.
When its too hot you can even use it as a light weight sleeping bag.
Overall I would recommend this product but I have not tried other liners.

Dislikes: Because of the one size fits all characteristic of this mummyliner, it tends to be a little big for my needs. I'm 5'11" and even though its still comfortable, I wish they made different sizes for the mummyliners.

Likes: Comfortable and dded noticeable warmth to my 15 degree bag on a very cold night. Packs up smaller than my fist. Definitely worth carrying to extend temp range a bit and hopefully prolong life of sleeping bag.

    Dislikes: None.

Likes: Great product! The extra layer keeps you toasty warm and is so light weight. Definitely recommend this product.

Dislikes: I bought it in white and would definitely go with a dark color the next time

Likes: Can't comment on the added warmth yet but I was interested mostly in using the liner to prevent body oils and dirt from making the inside of my sleeping bag nasty. The material is very comfortable and packs up nice and small. It is the right size to fit nicely in my mummy bag.

Dislikes: Will have to wait and see how durable the product is and how well it washes, but I'm not terribly concerned based on other reviews.

Likes: Very lightweight and convenient to carry. Packs down small. Silk is comfortable and adds warmth in a sleeping bag when needed. I've been caught out where the temp dropped 10 degrees more than expected and this liner really made the difference. I have also used the liner only in warmer weather and it does a good job of keeping the chill off.

    Dislikes: Nothing.

Likes: I was skeptical that something so thin could add 10 degrees to the temperature of my sleeping bag. I have used the liner twice so far and although it was a little warm as far as ambient temperature was, I had to get out of the liner in the bag at night... Real test will be Nov 5-6 as temps will be much cooler...

Likes: This is one of the most ingenious and well performing products I bought for my winter backpacking trip to Yellowstone. It is essential even if you have a zero degree down bag for sub zero camping requirements. The material is smooth and soft to touch and feels good on skin and since it is so thin, it can even be pulled over the face on extrememly cold nights where the sleeping bag does not provide protection. The comfort and heat provided by this liner is exceptional! And it is so unbelievably lightweight and thin.

    Dislikes: None.

Likes: Well made. Adds warmth to sleeping bag and keeps bag clean. Nice feel to silk liner.

Dislikes: Would have perferred darker color rather than white.

    10/28/2010

Likes: I have a good bag but it is just a little thin for nights that get much below 40 degrees. This insert adds just enough heat to extend the usefullness of my existing bag into the type of camping that I do. The insert is also easier to clean and takes the punishment (and dirt) that would otherwise ruin the inside of my bag.

Dislikes: The white color shows dirt very easily.

Likes: very soft and light weight.

Dislikes: the white color gets dirty very quickly.

Likes: The Cocoon MummyLiner Silk is a sweet addition to any mummy bag. It is super light and stuffs into a tiny sack for packing.

    Dislikes: Nothing.
