A GORE-TEX waterproof/breathable insert and 3-layer nylon shell with rip-stop fabric ensure that your hands will stay dry while skiing, snowshoeing or shoveling wet snow. Black Diamond combines 142 grams of PrimaLoft One synthetic insulation on the back of the hand and 133 grams in the palm with needle punch stitching to reduce bulk without taking away warmth. This allows the wearer to easily grasp poles or tools. A women's specific fit takes into account the ratio between women's palm and finger lengths to create a better fit. The palm and knuckles of the Fever Mitt are reinforced with goat leather and the thumb includes a soft nose wipe.
A short gauntlet on the Women's Fever Mitt has a stretchy yet snug wrist guard that fits under a jacket cuff to prevent snow from getting into the mitt. A zippered pocket on the back of the hand allows for heat packets to be used on really cold days.
