New for 2010! The sleek and compact Black Diamond Pulse Women’s daypack is equipped with an innovative suspension system. Gender-specific design features make the Pulse Women’s pack ideal for female hikers engaged in fast-moving, active pursuits.
Combining multiple design technologies, the lightweight, innovative Black Diamond reACTIV suspension system provides a full range of motion while ensuring stable load support. A contoured 6061 aluminum frame maintains stability while transferring weight to the reACTIV hipbelt. This ultra-flexible hipbelt employs a floating pass-through design intended to mimic the movement of your body without compromising load stability. Reflecting Black Diamond’s commitment to gender-specific fit, the hipbelt of the Pulse Women’s pack is more canted than those found on men’s packs. Further enhancing performance, innovative women’s specific shoulder straps are connected via an integrated low-friction cable that allows them to mirror your every move while maintaining a balanced load. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps also help to improve fit. An OpenAir backpanel and soft, breathable mesh fabrics on the shoulder straps and hipbelt promote breathability while cushioning the Pulse Women’s pack against your back.
The Pulse Women’s pack is available in S (torso fit range of 15.5”-18.5”) and M (17.5”-20.5”) size variations. The storage capacity of the S is 1220 cubic inches and the M provides 1340 cubic inches of capacity. The front-loading packbag is accessed through a horseshoe-shaped zipper that offers wide-open access to the interior. A large elasticized front pocket is perfect for stashing gear and doubles as a compression system that aids in load stabilization. Stretch side pockets provide additional storage space and a small pocket on the hipbelt is perfect for keeping valuables within easy reach. The Pulse Women’s pack has integrated trekking pole/ice axe loops and a lined internal sleeve and drinking tube exit ports make the pack hydration system (not included) compatible.
