Built for backpackers and climbers determined to reduce packed weight to the bare minimum without completely sacrificing all comfort, the Black Diamond Lightsabre bivy weighs in at a mere 1 lb. 10 oz. Interior poles provide a surprising amount of livability to this streamlined one-person shelter.

Thirty-three inches wide at the shoulders, the Lightsabre is broad enough to accommodate most sleeping bags and accompanying sleeping pads. Two lightweight DAC Featherlite aluminum poles pull the tent canopy up and away from your face, creating 25 inches of headroom that greatly enhances the livability of the Lightsabre. A third section of pole lifts the bivy away from your feet, creating a more comfortable space to spend the night.

A large, zippered entry on the side of the Lightsabre provides access to the bivy. A built-in mesh window provides extra ventilation in balmy weather. An additional mesh vent hidden under the integrated awning over the footbox of the Lightsabre further enhances ventilation.

The canopy of the Lightsabre is made of breathable, water-resistant EPIC fabric. This innovative fabric helps to combat condensation build-up and protects the interior of the Lightsabre from snow or rain. The SilNylon fabric used on the floor of the Lightsabre is extremely durable and completely waterproof. An optional footprint (sold separately) adds further protection against ground water, roots and rocks.
