Stylish, lightweight and versatile, the Black Diamond Icon headlamp offers high-performance for varied backcountry pursuits. A large three-watt LED casts a powerful beam of light, reaching a distance of over 262 feet! Four smaller, super-bright LED's can be employed when conditions call for close proximity lighting.

Multiple settings allow you to regulate the length of the Icon's beam depending on what distance you need illuminated. By adjusting the length of the beam, you can maximize efficiency, increasing burn time to a maximum of 164 hours. An additional setting produces a strobe light for emergency signaling. A built-in mode memory remembers the setting last utilized and returns to that setting when you turn the Icon back on.

The Icon is powered by three Alkaline AA batteries (included). With the batteries, the Icon weighs 6.6 ounces. If you prefer to save money and lessen the environmental impact of using and discarding disposable batteries, the Black Diamond rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride NRG Battery Kit (sold separately) can be used in place of alkaline batteries. The NRG Battery Kit utilizes an AC adapter and can be plugged in wherever an outlet is available. An indicator light located on the headlamp housing cycles through a number of colors which indicate the Icon's remaining battery life.

An elastic headband adjusts to enhance comfort and ensure that the Icon remains securely in place while in use. A top strap is included for greater stability. The housing of the Icon is hinged so you can angle the beam as needed for the conditions and the task at hand.

Available in your choice of Lime or Silver color options, the Black Diamond Icon headlamp is water-resistant and suitable for all-weather use.
