Product Highlights

Lightweight, powerful and affordable, the Black Diamond Cosmo headlamp delivers performance lighting for camping and backpacking trips. Multiple brightness settings and a strobe feature make the Cosmo a versatile backcountry companion.

A durable, rubberized toggle switch on the top of the Cosmo's housing makes the headlamp easy to operate. At its brightest setting, the Cosmo's DoublePower LED bulb produces a beam that reaches over 130 feet. Additional settings allow you to regulate the length of the beam for increased burn time and proximity lighting. By using the Cosmo's lowest, most economical setting, you can expect a burn time of up to 140 hours. A strobe setting produces a pulsing light for emergency signaling.

The Cosmo requires three Alkaline AAA batteries (included). Even with the batteries, the Cosmo weighs just 1.9 ounces.

An elastic headband adjusts to enhance comfort and ensure that the Cosmo remains securely in place while in use. The housing of the Cosmo is hinged so you can angle the beam as needed for the conditions and the task at hand.

Water-resistant and suitable for all-weather use, the Black Diamond Cosmo headlamp is available in your choice of colors.

Colors available: Dark Chocolate, Tropical Blue, Ultra White

Likes: It wears very comfortably. Light is brighter than I expected. Overall the quality is better than I expected.

Dislikes: Clicking three times to get the strobe feature is awkward. I can't comment on the durability as I have only been using it about a week.

Likes: I purchased two of these lights for canoe touring with my wife. They are light, low cost, bright, and long battery life. We have used them all summer with no issues.

Dislikes: If I had to pick a con, I would say the colors. Other than that, these lights are great!

Likes: The Cosmo headlamp is a very impressive little light considering it's price. I especially like the ability to adjust the brightness gradually. The flood setting is great; it's more than adequate for most tasks around the campsite. The DoublePower LED adds just enough extra light for walking that trail to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I highly recommend this headlamp. I really don't think there's any need to look at something more expensive than this unless you really want the extra red LEDs for night vision.

Dislikes: You can't disable the on/off switch like you can on the Black Diamond Spot.
