Far easier to adjust than the internal locking mechanisms used by many telescoping poles, the external locks found on the Alpine Carbon Solo trekking pole are ideal for use in all conditions and seasons. Black Diamond's FlickLock system couldn't be much simpler. Even if you're wearing gloves, it's a cinch to open the lock with a flip of your finger, slide the pole section to the required length and tap the lock back into place. Once you've used FlickLocks, you'll wonder why anyone would ever choose to wrestle with temperamental internal mechanisms.
All three shaft sections of the Alpine Carbon Solo are made entirely of carbon, providing high-performance with very little weight. A foam grip with a textured cork top provides a confident handhold. A padded, adjustable webbing strap helps to reduce stress on your wrist.
Press-fit Flex Tech Tips have integrated low-profile trekking baskets that provide backcountry traction. The WaveLock construction of the Flex Tech Tips allows you to choose between interchangeable carbide and rubber tip (sold separately) ends for optimal performance on varying terrain.
Sold individually, the Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Solo offers a usable adjustment range of 23"-45".
