Designed to cater to fast-moving solo backpackers who want to shave the weight they're carrying without completely giving up on comfort, the Big Agnes Three Wire Bivy Sack boasts an array of features at less than 2 lbs. of packed weight! Though not for everyone, this minimalist shelter allows backpackers to greatly reduce packed weight while still ensuring a dry, wind protected night outdoors.
The Three Wire Bivy Sack is roomy enough to accommodate most sleeping bags and most regular width sleeping pads. A swivel hub design allows to short sections of DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles to lift the roof of the Three Wire Bivy Sack and provide more interior space than most bivvies. The foot section of the Three Wire Bivy Sack has a generous cut that provides 12 in. of vertical space.
Protection from weather and wind is provided by synthetic eVENT fabric. Breathable and waterproof, eVENT forbids ran and snow from dampening the inside of the Three Wire Bivy Sack while allowing interior condensation to evaporate. Durable nylon rip-stop fabric lends strength to the floor of the Three Wire Bivy Sack. Fully taped seams add further assurance that weather won't be an issue. On warm, clear nights, you can peel back the eVENT top and enjoy the night sky under the protection of a sewn-in mesh bug netting closure!
The Big Agnes Three Wire Bivy Sack includes a stuff sack and 6 super light aluminum X-peg stakes in case you want to guy-out your bivy for further stability in windy conditions.
