It's tough for bigger backpackers. Those tiny, lightweight sleeping bags for backpacking just won't fit. Some larger car camping bags might fit, but they're usually so big and heavy, you'd need a pack mule to carry them. The Summit Park solves this dilemma. While it won't pack down to the size of a Nerf ball, with compression straps the Summit Park can be squeezed down to an acceptable 10 in. x 10 in. and it weighs in at less than 4 lbs.

But, big backpackers aren't the only folks who will appreciate the Summit Park's features. The reason the Summit Park is so light and compressible is its 650 down fill. This luxuriously soft insulation combined with the generous semi-rectangular cut and the Big Agnes sleep system make the Summit Park incredibly comfortable for a great night's sleep.

Big Agnes bags are not your traditional sleeping bags. Thanks to the Big Agnes System, Big Agnes bags are roomier and more comfortable than regular bags.

In a traditional sleeping system, the bag lies on top of a sleeping pad. In this configuration, many people find themselves rolling off the pad at night. Plus, the insulation on the bottom of the bag is compressed by the sleeper's weight. Once compressed, the fill loses most of its insulative properties.

The Big Agnes System is different. Big Agnes joins the bag and pad together. The pad supplies the bottom insulation while the top 2/3 of the bag is insulated like a traditional sleeping bag. This design provides a secure foundation so you stay on the pad all night. You can roll freely, move into a fetal position, twist and turn without ever rolling off your pad. It also prevents the bag from twisting and engulfing you in an uncomfortable mess. Big Agnes uses this concept throughout their entire line of sleeping bags.

The Summit Park Long is designed to be used with the Big Agnes 25" wide rectangular REM Sleeping pads. However, other branded pads with the correct dimensions (25" x 78") will also work.

Big Agnes bags weigh less and have more leg room than other comparable bags, which makes them more comfortable. They also pack down smaller and have much more room to stretch out. Sleeping in the Big Agnes System is like sleeping in a bed with the mattress under you for comfort and the covers for insulation.
