Expanding their successful ultra-light Seedhouse SL Series, Big Agnes introduces the Seedhouse 3 SL, an incredibly light three-person tent. With a trail weight under 4 lbs., the Seedhouse 3 SL provides room for 3 at less weight than many two-person double wall tents! Unlike most ultra light three-person tents, the Seedhouse 3 SL is freestanding. A super-light DAC Featherlite 9mm hub/pole system, with press-fit connectors and lightweight hubs, uses clips to attach to the tent body for quick and easy set up. The Seedhouse 3 SL uses a crazy-light yet durable 20D high-tenacity nylon ripstop fabric for the fly and 30D high-nylon ripstop fabric with silicone treatment and 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating for the floor. A 20D nylon mesh is used on the tent body, keeping weight to a minimum and allowing for superior cross ventilation. The Seedhouse 3 SL is very well ventilated with full mesh side walls that won't trap moisture and condensation. If you want to go even lighter, the optional foot print, sold separately, can be attached to the tent fly eliminating the tent body for light and fast summer backpacking. In this fast fly configuration, the Seedhouse 3 SL weighs a mere 3 lb. 2 oz.
