With a packed weight of less than 4 lbs., the Big Agnes Seedhouse 1 has become a lightweight favorite. The shape of the Big Agnes Seedhouse design provides more usable interior volume than most other ultra-light solo tents, making it an ideal choice for solo backpackers who want room to stretch without having to haul a 2-person tent. Unlike many other ultra-light tents, the Seedhouse 1 is freestanding, so it's easy to set up and easy to position into the ideal location after it's been pitched. The Seedhouse 1 uses a super-light Yunan 8.91mm hub/pole system, featuring floating connectors and non-corrosive tips, with clips to attach to the tent body for quick and easy set up. With an interior peak height of 38" and a vestibule area providing 5 square feet of sheltered exterior space for gear, the Seedhouse 1 provides plenty of room for the solo backpacker. The Seedhouse 1 is very well ventilated with full mesh side walls that won't trap moisture and condensation. If you want to go even lighter, the optional foot print can be attached to the tent fly eliminating the tent body for light and fast summer backpacking. In this fast fly configuration, the Seedhouse 1 weighs a mere 2 lb. 4 oz.
