The Big Agnes Pine Island 4 is a 3-season camping tent that boasts performance features normally found only on backpacking tents. With 51" of vertical height, ample interior space and dual vestibules, the Pine Island 4 is ideal for family camping trips or for use as a base camp on backcountry adventures.
The Pine Island 4 provides over 62 sq. ft. of interior floor space and dual vestibules offer an additional 33 total sq. ft. of sheltered exterior space for gear storage or food preparation. The hub/pole design, comprised of lightweight, durable 7001 aluminum poles with press-fit connectors, allows the Pine Island 4 to maintain its peak height over a larger area than other designs. The press-fit connectors reduce strain on the pole connections, reducing the likelihood of pole breakage. Interior mesh pockets serve as hideaways for gear, maximizing the usability of the available floor space.
The body of the Pine Island 4 is made of durable nylon ripstop fabric. Extensive mesh on portions of the sidewalls and ceiling panels increases cross ventilation and combats condensation build-up. All of the Pine Island 4's seams are tape- sealed and the fly and floor have polyurethane coatings to provide further protect against the elements. An integrated window in the front vestibule door and storm flaps maximizes livability, especially when weather takes a turn for the worse and keeps you holed up inside the Pine Island 4.
The Pine Island 4's freestanding design allows you to set up the tent and then move it around your campsite to find the optimal position. No more sleeping on rocks or tree roots! Color-coded clip construction works in tandem with the hubbed poles to make set up easy. Guyline and stakes are included to help you further secure the Pine Island 4 and reflective highlights in the guyline provide nighttime visibility.
A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Big Agnes Pine Island 4 against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water.
