New for 2009! Insulated with high-quality 800-fill goose down, the Big Agnes Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s sleeping bag is designed for 3-Season backpacking and camping. Not your average sleeping bag, the Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag utilizes the Big Agnes System to offer more room at a lighter weight, while packing smaller than traditional bags.

With a wider cut at the hips and a shorter overall bag length, the Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag is ergonomically tailored to fit a woman's needs. Additional insulation has been added to the foot box and the core area of the sleeping bag to account for those areas women most often find difficult to keep warm.

In a traditional sleeping system, the bag lies on top of a sleeping pad. In this configuration, many people find themselves rolling off the pad at night. Plus, the insulation on the bottom of the bag is compressed by the sleeper's weight. Once compressed, the fill loses most of its insulating properties. The Big Agnes System is different, joining the bag and pad together. The pad slides into a sleeve on the bottom side of the bag, supplying insulation to the otherwise un-insulated bottom of the bag while the top 2/3 of the bag is insulated like a traditional sleeping bag. This design provides a secure foundation so you can roll, twist and turn freely during the night without ever rolling off your pad. It also prevents the bag from twisting and engulfing you in an uncomfortable mess. Big Agnes uses this system throughout their entire line of sleeping bags. Attending the specific needs of women, the Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag does provide insulation on the bottom portion of the bag so that women’s feet stay warm in colder temperatures.

The Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag is designed to be used with 20" wide Big Agnes sleeping pads (sold separately). However, other branded pads with the correct dimensions will also work. A pass-through sleeve design allows you to select whatever length pad you feel you need. Once you've matched your bag with a sleeping pad of the appropriate width, spending a night in the Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag is like sleeping in a bed with the mattress under you for comfort and the covers for insulation.

An insulated ergonomic hood, a draft tube located along the length of the zipper, and an insulated no-draft collar lock in heat and keep out cold air to enhance the warmth and comfort provided by the Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s bag. A built-in pillow pocket holds the Big Agnes Air Core Pillow (sold separately) or other pillows or clothes in place, providing a comfortable resting place for your head and neck.

Available in your choice of Petite (fits to 5'8") and Reg (5'10") lengths and left or right side zippers, the Big Agnes Peggy SL 15 Degree Women’s sleeping bag comes with a recycled mesh storage sack and nylon stuff sack.
