The Big Agnes Parkview series is designed to please lightweight devotees and casual campers alike. The newest addition to the series, the Parkview 3 is a 3-season tent built to be light enough for the back country with ample interior space and headroom for three.

With a packed weight of less than 7 lbs., the Parkview 3 provides 50 square ft. of interior floor space and an interior peak height of 48". The hub/pole design, comprised of Yunan Scandium Air Hercules 8.88 mm poles and the Atlas Pole System by Mountain Hardwear featuring floating connectors, allows the Parkview 3 to maintain a high ceiling height over a larger area than other designs. The floating connectors reduce strain on the pole connections, reducing the likelihood of pole breakage. Four mesh floor pockets serve as interior hideaways for gear and front and rear vestibules offer 26 square ft. of additional space for gear storage and food preparation.

The body of the Parkview 3 is made of a light yet durable 40D, 240T high-tenacity nylon ripstop fabric with nylon mesh used on portions of the side and ceiling panels for weight reduction and better cross ventilation. All of the seams on the Parkview 3 are tape sealed and the fly and floor have polyurethane coatings to provide protection against the elements.

The Parkview 3 is a freestanding design. With a freestanding tent, you can set the tent up, and then move it around on your site to find the optimal position (no more sleeping on rocks or tree roots). With clips to attach the tent body to the poles, set up is quick and easy, even in the dark.

If you want to go even lighter, the optional footprint, sold separately, can be attached to the tent fly, eliminating the tent body for light and fast summer backpacking. In this fast fly configuration, the Parkview 3 weighs a mere 4 lb. 15 oz.
