The Big Agnes Parkview 2 is a lightweight design featuring lots of space inside, lots of headroom, and lots of space in its 2 vestibules.

The Parkview's two opposing doors allow access from either side. The main vestibule door has a dual entry design that provides easy access and plenty of space for gear, while the second vestibule allows for extra storage and alternate access.

For a lightweight backpacking tent, headroom inside the Parkview 2 is excellent at a peak of 48". The single hub/pole design allows the Parkview to maintain a high ceiling height over a larger area than other designs. The Parkview utilizes Yunan Air Hercules Scandium poles with the Atlas Pole System by Mountain Hardwear floating connectors. The floating connectors reduce strain on the pole connections reducing pole breakage. In addition to the primary hub/pole system, there's also a single pole for the main vestibule.

The Parkview 2 is a free-standing design. With a freestanding tent, you can set the tent up, and then move it around on your site to find the optimal position (no more sleeping on rocks or tree roots). With clips to attach the tent body to the poles, set up is quick and easy, even in the dark.

If you want to go even lighter, the optional foot print can be attached to the tent fly eliminating the tent body for light and fast summer backpacking. In this fast fly configuration, the Parkview weighs a mere 4 lb. 6 oz.
