Offering reliable performance at a budget-friendly price, the solo Big Agnes Lone Spring 1 is ideal for 3-season backpacking and camping. The Lone Spring 1 boasts durable construction and livable features like interior mesh pockets, a large door and a spacious vestibule.
The Lone Spring 1 provides 23 square feet of interior floor space and the vestibule offers 10 square feet of additional sheltered exterior space. The hub/pole design, comprised of lightweight, durable aluminum poles with press-fit connectors, allows the Lone Spring 1 to maintain its peak height over a larger area than many other designs. The press-fit connectors reduce strain on the pole connections, reducing the likelihood of pole breakage. Interior mesh pockets serve as hideaways for gear, maximizing the usability of the available floor space.
The body of the Lone Spring 1 is made of durable polyester ripstop fabric. Mesh on portions of the sidewalls and ceiling panels increases cross ventilation and combats condensation build-up. All of the Lone Pass 1's seams are sealed with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs) to further protect the tent from the elements.
The Lone Spring 1's freestanding design allows you to set up the tent and then move it around your campsite to find the optimal position. No more sleeping on rocks or tree roots! Clip construction works in tandem with the hubbed poles to make set up easy. Guyline and stakes are included to help you further secure the Lone Spring 1 and reflective highlights in the guyline provide nighttime visibility.
A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Big Agnes Lone Spring 1 tent against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water. If you really want to travel light in warm weather, you can attach the footprint to the tent fly, leaving the tent body behind and reducing the trail weight from 3 pounds, 9 ounces to just 2 pounds, 9 ounces.
