  • . Holtsville NY

Likes: Much more comfortable than the Alite Monarch. This sits much higher off the ground and you can actually do camp cooking and anything else requiring you to be somewhat upright.

The biggest competition in this space is really the REI Flex Lite. This is more comfortable, but more expensive and 2-3 oz heavier. It is up to you if that is worth it, as the REI flex lite is also very comfortable. This is just slightly wider and taller, and has reinforcement at the back pole connection so they don't annoy your back.

Dislikes: Weighs in slightly heavier than posted, 2lbs 1 oz on my food scale.

  • Justin B. South Jordan UT

Likes: The seat pan is a great sixe. I like the way it sits up off the ground

Dislikes: I would like to see it sit an inch or two higher

  • Anonymous Backcountry Edge Customer

Likes: Excellent product. Great comfort to weight ratio, outsanding packability. Loved the chair so much I bought a second as a gift for my lady friend! As for the sinking feet, ya, it happens with a lot of chairs, not an issue at all in fact gives it a little more stability.

    Dislikes: Nothing at all.

  • Jason A. Pound WI

Likes: Awesome chair! At a recent family outing everyone had to try my chair and commented on how comfortable and compact it was. At sub-2 lbs. this beats sitting on the ground in a Crazy Creek style chair. For the size and weight it's about as light as you'll get for back country camping.

Dislikes: Expensive! I feel like this should have been about $30 cheaper but you have to pay for light weight in the back country. Sinks into the ground easily in sand and soft ground too.

Likes: Perfect camping chair. Very happy to get it.

Dislikes: I do like all of this product

  • . Cleveland OH

Likes: I bought this camp chair for my girlfriend after sitting in it at our local gear shop. It was love at first sit. When I found out this site carried them I was all over it. There is nothing like having a a guaranteed comfy spot to sit when trekking off into the unknown wilderness. Beats finding a rock or a log by a long shot!

Dislikes: If the feet on the legs were a bit wider to stop them from sinking into soft surfaces, this chair would get a 5 star rating from me. That is a very minor gripe

  • . Cleveland OH

Likes: I absolutely love this chair! Its incredibly lightweight and easy to pack. It breaks down into a small bag for easy storage and can come in handy for many occasions outside of camping/backpacking. Not to mention this is probably the most comfortable camp chair I have ever sat in!

Dislikes: The one and only drawback I can think of is the feet are narrow so if you sit on soft dirt/grass, they can sink down into the ground a bit.

    Likes: Strong high quality

    Dislikes: Nothing

  • Brandon B. Castro Valley CA

Likes: We use this chair for everything. Just keep it in the car and it's ready to use at the park, concerts, wherever. Bought it for camping but we're totally getting our $$ worth using it all the time. Great chair, made well, sturdy.

    Dislikes: n/a

  • Anonymous Backcountry Edge Customer

Likes: This is well worth the money. I don't see how any other hiking chair could compare to this one. It is sturdy, high enough off the ground for comfort, very nice looking, and very light. I am 260 and 6'5" and this chair has taken my weight fine for months now of using it frequently. Great buy

Dislikes: Nothing. Really, there is nothing to dislike.

  • Anonymous Backcountry Edge Customer

  • . Rochester MN

Likes: simply amazing. comfortable, light weight, easy to setup. i think this is the best chair of its kind. I weigh 230 lbs and had no issue with this interns of width or comfort.

    Dislikes: nothing

  • Rick S. Charlotte NC

Likes: a bit heavier then the chair i had before but really comfortable. First time using it i fell asleep.

Dislikes: A little heavy for backpacking at nearly 2 pounds.

  • David F. San Diego CA

Likes: Light enough to consider bringing backpacking. Nice and comfy. Sits low to the ground, but not too low. Black/blue is a nice high tech looking color combination. Takes no time to assemble and the instructions printed in the carry bag are not required - simple set-up. Bag has a lashing strap, you might want lash to the outside of your pack, so you can set it up during a lunch stop (it is that easy/comfortable). Definitely beats a rock!

    Dislikes: Nothing

  • Gretchen R. Pittsburgh PA

Likes: very sturdy, but incredibly light.

Dislikes: nothing negative to say at this point.

  • Joshua B. Moses Lake WA

Likes: Lightweight and sturdy. Making me serious think I can actually take a chair on a backpacking trip. Reinforced nicely at chair attachments points.

    Dislikes: none

  • Terry C. Jefferson SC

Likes: This chair is great. It is light and compact. I weigh 225 lbs and it holds me without any problems. Very comfortable for a small portable chair. Really glad I made this purchase.

Dislikes: I liked everything about this chair.

  • . San Diego CA

Likes: Comfortable, super easy to put together, and folds up small. So far have only car camped with it but it's small enough that I'll give it a try on my next backpacking trip.

Dislikes: I weigh around 205 lbs and the chair feels a little fragile underneath me. But until it breaks I have to give it the benefit of the doubt. It may be way stronger than it looks and feels!

  • John K. Blacklick OH

Likes: I think of this chair as technical due to it's construction, small size and low weight (2 pounds). I bought this as an alternative to the Alite Monarch chair or the Kermit chair for motorcycle touring/camping, but this chair will get used for backpacking as well. Four legs on the ground compared to two for Monarch and more than 13 inches off the ground which is better than the Kermit chair and pactks smaller and weighs less.

Dislikes: Wish I would've ordered two of them!

  • . Coos Bay OR

Likes: Very light and compact a true take anywhere chair. Easy and quick to assemble. The nylon seating portion of the chair is highly reinforced where the poles go in. The chair feels very stable and is comfortable for eating a meal in. At first it felt like the chair was pushing me a little forward but sitting a little higher up in the chair fixed that. You can lean back easily and the chair has no problem handling it.

Dislikes: The seating shape could be a little more of a bucket, just my preference, others who sat in it were ok with the shape.
