Product Highlights

Built especially for couples, the Big Agnes Cabin Creek 15 Degree Double-Wide sleeping bag is extra-roomy and extra-comfortable. Lightweight, compressible synthetic insulation allows the Cabin Creek 15 Degree Double-Wide bag to pack down small enough for backpacking or for family and car camping.

In a traditional sleeping system, the bag lies on top of a sleeping pad. In this configuration, many people find themselves rolling off the pad at night. Plus, the insulation on the bottom of the bag is compressed by the sleeper's weight. Once compressed, the fill loses most of its insulating properties. The Big Agnes System is different, joining the bag and pad together. The pad slides into a sleeve on the bottom side of the bag, supplying insulation to the bottom of the bag while the top 2/3 of the bag is insulated like a traditional sleeping bag. This design provides a secure foundation so you can roll, twist and turn freely during the night without ever rolling off your pad. It also prevents the bag from twisting and engulfing you in an uncomfortable mess.

The Cabin Creek 15 Degree Double-Wide is designed to be used with any two 20"x72" Big Agnes REM sleeping pads (sold separately) or other branded pads with comparable dimensions.

A doublewide insulated ergonomic hood, draft tubes located along the length of the dual zippers, a center no-draft flap and separate insulated neck yokes lock in heat and keep out cold air to enhance the warmth and comfort provided by the Cabin Creek 15 Degree Double-Wide. Built-in pillow pockets hold Big Agnes Air Core Pillows (sold separately), clothes or other pillows, providing a comfortable resting place for heads and necks.

The Big Agnes Cabin Creek 15 Degree Double-Wide fits to 6' 0" and includes a nylon stuff sack and cotton storage sack.

Likes: supper bag haven't had a chance to use it but seems to be great

    Dislikes: nothing

  • Andy L. Oxnard CA

Likes: Backs down very small. Was sweating in 30*F weather. Plenty big enough for two people.

Dislikes: Price is a bit high. Also, it is a bit on the noisy side.

  • Ha T. San Diego CA

Likes: I ordered, the sleeping bag came very quick. I just went to the camping trip, about 37oC at night. The sleeping bag kept us warm, I like it. It's very light and easy to pack.

    Dislikes: No

  • Luke P. San Francisco CA

Likes: The integrated ground pad pockets prevent the ground pads from slipping around, and really do give a nice "double bed" feeling.

Dislikes: Using the ground pad pockets is basically required because the insulation on the bottom of the bag isn't as thick as the insulation on top. When the pad is in, however, the bag doesn't form-fit your body (unless your body is rectangular) so there is a lot more airspace in the bag. The upshot of all of this is that the bag is a lot less warm than an equivalently rated single person bag. We woke up clinging together for warmth during a 40 degree night.

The other obnoxious thing is that it doesn't pack as small as I think it should, given the amount and thickness of the insulation, it seems like it should go into a smaller stuff-sack.

Likes: This product is simply awesome! I took this camping with my wife a couple weeks ago and we loved it. It can be compacted into a extra large sea to summit compression sack small enough to fit into the sleeping bag compartment of my osprey 80L backpack without adding too much weight. I love the sleeping pad slots in the the back. You really wont roll off your pad. I do have to say that two regular sized and shaped pads are needed. Dont get a mummy pad because there will be gaps between the pads. My wife loved it! she actually was a little warm, which is saying alot because she is always cold. Also, I forgot a pillow so i stuffed some clothes into the pillow compartment and it worked!!

Dislikes: Need regular sized and shaped sleeping pads. Not really a complaint just a heads up.

  • Howard L. Saranac Lake NY

Likes: They really did this well. It has features like a solo mummy bag and where they couldn't do it they came close. Our TRest Trail Lites fit into the bag well and I dig the BA system of having no padding on the bottom to conserve space. This is def a warm bag but it's easy to regulate temps with zippers for both people. The pocket for stuffing to make a pillow works great. The size/wt/rating combo is awesome for 2 people.

Dislikes: If you are a bit warm, the lack of fill on the bottom between the sleeper and the pad makes for a sweaty back. A light sheet fixed this.
