Built to withstand heavy trail use but be light on the wallet, the Big Agnes Burn Ridge Outfitter 2 three-season backpacking tent is a great choice for scouting groups or backpackers who desire durability over an ultra-lightweight shelter.
Slightly tapered from the head to the foot of the tent, the interior of the Burn Ridge Outfitter 2 measures 52" at its widest point and stretches a full 84" in length. The 28 square feet of interior space provides ample room and the vestibule offers an additional 6.5 square feet of weather-protected external storage space. Integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Triangle or Trapezoid Gear Loft (sold separately).
The Burn Ridge Outfitter 2 tent body and door are made from a lightweight mesh and durable, polyester ripstop nylon. Coated with waterproof polyurethane, the rip-stop nylon floor and rainfly are lightweight and durable. All of the Burn Ridge Outfitter 2's seams are tape-sealed to further protect the tent from the elements.
The Burn Ridge Outfitter 2 utilizes a sturdy, DAC aluminum pole system with an increased diameter for better stability. These poles also feature a lightweight hub design with a clip system that attaches to the tent body making set up easy and fast. An eco-friendly anodizing process is used by DAC to treat the poles without the toxic chemicals traditionally used on aluminum tent poles.
Thirteen aluminum stakes are included to help you secure the Burn Ridge Outfitter 2 as well as a stuff sack. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the tent against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water.
