A hybrid combination of traditional and modern snowshoe construction, Atlas Aspect snowshoes provide the traction and maneuverability required for backcountry adventure. Loaded with features, the Aspect is ready for your next mountaineering or winter backpacking trip.
Aspect snowshoes are available in two sizes. The 24 inch length is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 100-190 pounds. The recommended use range for the larger 28 inch shoe is 135-225 pounds.
Atlas' patented impact absorbing Spring-Loaded Suspension (SLS) keeps Aspect snowshoes close underfoot while suspending your foot so it can move freely to adjust to terrain and slope changes. By allowing your foot to flex naturally, Aspect snowshoes improve stability and balance while providing deep crampon penetration for maximum traction. The Atlas PackFlat binding features quick-lashing straps that accommodate varied footwear including large snowboarding and mountaineering boots. This binding also collapses flat for easy storage and travel.
The 7075 aluminum ReactiV-Trac frame has a traditional elliptic nose and tail but incorporates serrated teeth along the length of the sides of the frame to maximize traction. Sturdy, flexible straps allow the frame to work in tandem with the bindings and crampons while reacting with terrain to ensure confident footing and optimal backcountry performance. A built-in Heel Lift Bar lessens the distance that the bottom of your boot travels from the snowshoe deck during climbs. This feature greatly improves performance on steep slopes and helps to reduce the fatigue associated with elevation gains.
Sleek, seamless Infinity decking optimizes surface area for maximum flotation and cuts down on traditional wear points. NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.
In addition to the perimeter frame teeth, Aspect snowshoes are outfitted with shovel-shaped stainless steel crampons. Sharp ice tips provide superior bite on frozen slopes and in icy conditions.
