Motivated by the fatigue and frustration of backpacking with what they felt was heavy, overbuilt gear, Kim and Demetri Coupounas decided in 1998 to launch GoLite, a manufacturer dedicated to offering innovative, ultra-lite products that better enable the user to enjoy his or her time outdoors. A decade later, GoLite continues to blaze new trails, unveiling ground-breaking, ounce-shaving, functional packs, shelters, sleeping bags and apparel.
